Julius "J" Bartosiak, 99, of Somers, widower of the late Monica (Bezrudczyk), entered into eternal peace Monday July 16, 2012 at the Suffield House. The son of the late Ignatius and Katherine (Pas) Bartosiak, Julius was born in Meriden and had lived in Somers most of his life and was a member of All Saints Church. He owned and operated Bartosiak Farm for 35 years. In his free time he enjoyed traveling, especially to Poland. Julius is survived by his son Mark Bartosiak and his wife Virginia of Somers; two grandchildren, Katherine and Jason Bartosiak; a great grandson, Nathan Christopher Bartosiak; three sisters, Janet and Beverly Bartosiak and Virginia Warzocha. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by five sisters, Helen Swokla, Beatrice Baldyga, Mary Krol, Lillian Stone, and Emily Frank.
Family and friends will gather at the Somers Funeral Home, 354 Main Street, Somers, on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at 9 a.m. for a procession to All Saints Church, 25 School St., Somersville, where a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Julius' life will be held at 10 a.m. followed by burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain.
