Kathleen M. (Dallaire) CHEVERIER Obituary

CHEVERIER, Kathleen M. (Dallaire)

Kathleen M. (Dallaire) Cheverier, 60, of Windsor, beloved wife for 42 years of Adelord J. "Al" Cheverier, passed away peacefully on Saturday, (April 7, 2012) at St. Francis Hospital. She was born January 2, 1952 in Hartford to the late Joseph "Red" and Jane (Leone) Dallaire. Kathy lived in Windsor all of her life graduating from Windsor High School and then receiving her Associate's Degree from Asnuntuck Community College. She will be remembered as a selfless and nurturing woman who was an amazing wife and phenomenal mother. It was her loving nature that allowed her to let so many people into her life that she cared for and often would consider them as her own. She loved cooking and dancing, but most of all she cherished the time she was able to be home with her family and friends. A true people person, she loved nothing more than sipping her cup of tea as she chatted with her loved ones, and you could not walk away from any conversation you had with her, without feeling the scope of her love. She was the foundation of her family and their world seemed to just revolve around her. She will be greatly missed. Her family and friends find great comfort in knowing that she is able to hold her children Ty and Tanya in her arms once again. In addition to her husband Al, she leaves her daughter, Tricia Ofsuryk and her husband Rich of Granby; her grandson Scott whom she was raising; her brother-in-law Robert Cheverier; brothers, Steven Dallaire and his wife Karen of Suffield, David Dallaire of Windsor Locks, John Dallaire and his wife Christa of Florida; sisters, Debbie Silver and her husband Larry of South Windsor, Bonnie Balasano of Windsor; six grandchildren, Ryan, Justin, Tyler, Scott, Paityn, and Allie, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her son, Ty Cheverier; her daughter, TanyaCheverier and her sister Tracey Grillo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 10 a.m. at St. Gertrude Church, 550 Matianuck Ave., Windsor. In lieu of flowers donations in Kathy's memory may be made to the Scott Jeffrey educational Fund, c/o Windsor Federal Savings, 250 Broad St., Windsor CT 06095.
