BELSKI, Lena A. (Lamesa)

Lena A. (Lamesa) Belski, 90, loving wife of the late Bruno Belski, passed away peacefully, Saturday, (November 10, 2012) at Hartford Hospital with her devoted family by her side. She was born Sept. 25, 1922 in Hartford and was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Pauline (Tartaglia) Lamesa. Lena worked at Travelers Insurance Company retiring in 1984. She was a longtime faithful communicant of St. James Church, Rocky Hill and a member of the Rocky Hill Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, Search A Word, gardening, canning and was always ready to dance. Her house was always open to her family and many friends. Her smile, laughter, and great sense of humor will be sadly missed. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Laurito and husband, Joseph of Rocky Hill and Janice Fasulo and husband, Adelino of San Castrese province of Caserta, Italy; grandchildren, Sandra Fuller and husband, Drew, Joseph Laurito, Jr. and wife Brigid, Lidia Tozzi and husband, Nicola and Anthony Fasulo; great-grandchildren, Julia Laurito and Ivan Tozzi; godsons, Joseph Bonacquisto and Joseph Bascetta as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Joseph Lamesa and sister-in-law, Mary Lamesa, nephew, Raymond Fusco and nephew and godson, Michael Fusco. A heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Apple Rehab of Rocky Hill where Lena lived the last 3 years also to the nurses and PCA at Hartford Hospital Bliss Wing 5th floor, the Palliative Medicine Consult Service at Hartford Hospital and Masonicare Partners Home Health and Hospice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Church, 767 Elm St., Rocky Hill. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. The burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours are Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 3-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
