FULLER, Loris (Lindeman)
Loris (Lindeman) Fuller, 81, of South Windsor and formerly of Coventry, beloved wife of the late Henry W. Fuller, died peacefully on Friday (August 3, 2012) at Manchester Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Loris was born on January 21, 1931 in Springfield, MA, the daughter of the late George B. and Dorothy (Day) Lindeman and had lived in Coventry for almost 50 years before moving to South Windsor in 2008. Loris was a former member of both St. George's Episcopal Church in Bolton and Christ Church Cathedral in Hartford, where she had been active in the church choirs. She served on the Recreation Committee for the Town of Coventry; she was a 4-H leader and an accomplished seamstress and pianist. She was an avid golfer and a member of Skungamaug Golf Club, Tallwood Country Club Women's League, Blackledge Country Club Women's Golf Association and a member of SNEWGA. Loris was also a past member of the Daughters of Veterans of the Civil War. Loris is survived by three daughters, Janet E. Lowell and her husband David, of Somerville, NJ, Joanne J. St. Martin and her husband Jeffrey of Columbia, Susan K. Williams and her husband Guy, of Ypsilanti, MI; her son, David B. Fuller and his wife Kimberly, of Millville, MA; a daughter-in-law, Kathleen Fuller of Summit Point, WV; two sisters, Barbara Wilson and her husband Bill of New Bern, NC, Kay Lindeman of East Hartford; a sister-in-law, Carole Butenas of Broad Brook; 12 grandchildren, Kim Shacter and her husband Gabe, Eric Lowell and his wife Tasha, Morgan Fuller, Graham Fuller and his wife Amber, Darryl Fuller and his wife Tracy, Jordan Fuller, Ben St. Martin, Matt St. Martin, Allison Danehy, Spencer Danehy, Jonathan Fuller, Jacob Fuller; six great-grandchildren, Nicole, Luke, Will, Bailey, Myles and Anthony. Other survivors include her dear niece, Nancy Cormier and four nephews, Burt Wilson, Todd Butenas, Jeff Butenas and Mark Butenas. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Mark H. Fuller. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Anwar and the nurses and staff of the ICU and 2East at Manchester Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Center Congregational Church, 11 Center Street, Manchester. Burial will be in the East Cemetery, Manchester. There are no calling hours. The Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester has care of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate memorial donations to the Manchester Memorial Hospital Hospice Unit, c/o ECHN, 71 Haynes Street, Manchester, CT 06040.
