JABLONOWSKI, Mark A.
Mark A. Jablonowski, 57, of Tariffville, died unexpectedly Friday December 14 after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband for 10 years of Sheree Landerman. Born May 11, 1955 in Hartford, he was the son of the late Tadeusz and Krystyna (Wasynczuk) Jablonowski. Mark graduated from University of Hartford School of Business as both undergrad and Graduate summa cum laude. Currently he was a Lecturer of Economics at the School. He was founder and director of Naturalrisk.org. Previously, Mark was a VP of Research at Conning Insurance and for nearly two decades a Risk Manager at United Technologies. He was a prolific writer, published in over 100 journals in his field and author of four books. Mark loved listening to music and played numerous instruments. He had a wonderful knack for weaving yarns and pulling pranks. He is survived by his wife Sheree who was also his best friend and soul mate; his son Stephen Jablonowski and his mother Stephanie Sacco of Old Lyme; close niece Heather Landerman Vallera; sister-in-law Beverly Wilkey; brother-in-law Neal Landerman; other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and colleagues. He leaves his Ragdoll (cats) children, Pocketful of Sunshine, Levsha Frolix, Sampson and Lila. His twinkling eyes and bright smile will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
A funeral will be Tuesday Dec. 18 at 1 p.m., officiated by Rabbi Howard Herman, at Wilde Auditorium, University of Hartford (use Parking Lot K). An interment will follow at Simsbury Cemetery at 16 Plank Hill Road. Following graveside service, Sheree will receive friends and family at their home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mark's name to environmental, music or educational charities or to a charity of donor's choice. Sheree wishes to extend her heartfelt appreciation for the generous outpouring of prayers and support. Funeral arrangements provided by Hebrew Funeral Association of West Hartford.
