Obituary Condolences

BRUNMARY   Mary (Kalita) Fonfara Bruneau, 87, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of the late Walter J. Fonfara and the late Amiel Bruneau died Monday (August 11, 2003) at Hartford Hospital. She was born in Springfield, MA, the daughter of the late Laurence and Sabina (Stanchuck) Kalita. Mary resided in Wethersfield for the last eight years and previously lived in Cromwell. Prior to her retirement Mary worked for Eastern Photo Labs in Thomaston and Timex in Woodbury. Mary is survived by her sisters, Helen in Chicago and Anne in Florida; grandchildren, Alicia Rizzuto of Newington, Walter D. Fonfara, D.M.D. and his wife Karen of Carolina, RI and Janice Fonfara of New Jersey. Mary's great grandchildren, Grace Rizzuto and Michael Walter Fonfara always brought much happiness to her. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Emilie Yucka of Chicopee, MA; daughter-in-law, Jolanta "Yola" Fonfara of Marlborough; many special friends and several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased in March of this year by her son, Walter D. Fonfara, D.D.S. Funeral Services will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from the Giuliano-Sagarino Funeral Home at BROOKLAWN, 511 Brook Street, Rocky Hill, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 280 Brook Street, Rocky Hill. Interment will be at a later date in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Chicopee, MA. Friends may call Thursday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association. The family wishes to thank the nurses and daycare providers that cared for Mary.
