DEGEN, Mary (Morgan)

Mary (Morgan) Degen, 82, of Windsor Locks, CT loving wife of 61 years to Clifford Degen passed away on Saturday, (November 24, 2012) at home with her loving family by her side. Mary was born May 1, 1930, in Hartford, CT the daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Halleran) Morgan. Mary enjoyed UCONN basketball and camping during the summers at Lake George, NY. Mary will be remembered as a wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be deeply missed. In addition to her husband, Clifford she is survived by her four children, Lynn Issa and husband, Robert of Somers, Steven Degen and wife, Linda, Richard Degen and wife, Teri all of Windsor Locks and John Degen and wife, Leslie of Enfield; seven grandchildren, Jonathan and Gregory Issa of Somers, Heather, Michael and wife, Dana and Tracy Degen all of Windsor Locks, Brett and wife, Jennie of Foxboro, MA, and Shannon Degen of Windsor Locks. Mary will also be missed by her dog, Patches and her granddogs, Niko and Sasha. In addition to her parents Mary was also predeceased by her brother, Joe Morgan; her sisters, Margaret Comeau and Katherine Cyr. Mary's family would like to thank St. Francis Cancer Center and her team from Masonic Care. Her nurse Heidi and aides Muriel, Anne and Yvonne.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Monday, November 26, 2012, from 5-8 p.m. at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at 9 am for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 am at St. Mary Church. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
