STALEY, Patricia M. (Driscoll)
Patricia M. (Driscoll) Staley, 76, of Windsor Locks, loving wife of William E. Staley for 58 years, passed away peacefully on Thursday (June 14, 2012), surrounded by her family at home. Patricia was born in Hartford and had lived all her life in Windsor Locks. She went to St. Mary's School in town and graduated from Our Lady of Angels High School in Enfield. She worked at Travelers Insurance Co. for a brief time before raising a family of eight children. She drove a school bus in town and later worked at St. Francis Hospital in the ER for 19 years. Pat and Bill had traveled extensively by RV for almost 20 years and made many wonderful friends. She shared the love of life and travel with her children and grandchildren. Mom will always be remembered as the one who always helped others, loved her animals and always looked at the positive side of any situation. Besides her husband Bill, she leaves her children, Theresa Jean and her husband Peter of Windsor; Walter Staley of Feeding Hills, MA; Gail and Bob Penland of Windsor Locks; Michael Staley and John Staley of Windsor Locks; Thomas "TJ" Staley and his wife Seham also of Windsor Locks; her grandchildren, whom will forever miss her, the true loves of her life, Andrew, Timothy, Eric, Kelly, Devin, Jenna, Tanner, Christopher, Danielle, Billy, Gillian, Sara and Kyle. She also leaves her great grandchildren, Addison, Iliana, Caeden, Sierra and Peyton, as well as her aunt, Maryjane Fiorello, niece, Karen Bachofner, her nephew, Steven Fortini, her cousin, Judy Vecchiarelli and son-in-law, Greg Nolan. She is also survived by her friends, Pat Anderson, Barbara D'Amato, the Feron Family and many more who will truly miss her. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Marion Driscoll, her sister, Rosemary D. Fortini, and her daughters, Catherine Mandirola and Denise Nolan. Her family would like to thank the staff at Bickford's Health Care Center, Masonicare Hospice, and all the aides for the wonderful care and compassion given to our mom and family. We will be forever grateful.
Family and friends may gather on Tuesday, June 19, 9 a.m. at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., at St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Windsor Locks. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Windsor Locks. Her family will receive friends on Monday, June 18, from 2-4 p.m. and again from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
