Obituary Condolences

ALLEN, Ripley Phillip Ripley Phillip Allen, born July 27, 1927 to Henry and Fredrica Allen of St. Catherine, Jamaica, passed away peacefully on Monday (September 3, 2007). Ripley immigrated to London, England where he met and married Princess May Allen whom he predeceased. Together they have five children, Andrew and Christopher of London, England, Dawn and Michael of Hartford, and Nicola of Windsor. He retired from Ensign Bickford Incorporated in Simsbury after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Calvary Church of God in Christ. He has left to mourn his sister, Imogene; his brothers, Stedman and Clifford Allen; and was predeceased by his sister, Vera, all of Jamacia. He also let to mourn a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends and best friends. Phillip, as he was called, was a very warm, peaceful, and caring person. He was loved by all he came across. He was an avid gardener which he loved to do as a hobby. He will be dearly missed. Calling hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. on September 13 at the Henry L. Fuqua Funeral Home, 94 Granby St., Bloomfield. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, September 14 at the Good News Release Center, 690 Blue Hills Ave., Hartford. Burial will be at the Mountain View Cemetery in Bloomfield.
