Obituary Condolences

BABINETZ, Robert J. Robert J. Babinetz, 61, of East Hartford died Thursday, (March 31, 2005) at his home. He faced life's battles with great courage and dignity. He was born in Hartford son of the late Rudolph and Sophie (Malinosky) Babinetz. He was formerly employed at Lab Threads and Gears East Hartford and then most recently Nortek Gear of Windsor. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, East Hartford. Mr. Babinetz was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hiking and backpacking, drag racing, and fabricating muscle cars. He traveled extensively throughout the United States and Mexico. He is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Catherine and Carl Fernald of Farmington, NH, and Joan Babinetz of Florida. He also leaves his twin brother, Richard Babinetz of East Hartford, several cousins, and his companion, Vicki Shaw. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Babinetz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday April 5, 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, East Hartford. Burial will follow in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to St. Francis Home Health Agency and Hospice, 114 Woodland Street, Hartford, CT 06105.
