
YOREO, Robert K.
Robert K. Yoreo, 86, of East Windsor, loving husband of Lucy (Malinguaggi) Yoreo entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, (November 13, 2012), in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side. Bob was born Aug. 7, 1926, in the Rockville section of Vernon the son of the late William and Edith (Luetjen) Yoreo. He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II and retired from the State of CT after 21 years. Bob was an active member and past Elder with the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Enfield and will fondly be remembered for his role as "Pastor Bob" while pastor was on vacation. Bob was an avid golfer and not once, but twice got a "hole in one". He loved his country and his church and enjoyed golf, but most of all he loved his family. In addition to his wife, Lucy to whom he was married 64 years, Bob is also survived by two daughters, Linda Yoreo of Longmeadow, MA and Robin Yoreo of East Windsor and many nieces and nephews throughout the country. Bob was predeceased by a daughter, Leslie Susan Yoreo; a brother, William Yoreo and two sisters, Elaine Yoreo and Eleanor Cappa.
Relatives and friends may join the family on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, from 5- 8 p.m. at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A funeral service for Bob will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 20 North St., Enfield, CT. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park in Rocky Hill.
