Robert Carros Obituary

Robert Leo Carros, 68, of Lake City, FL husband of Suzan Carros, died Sunday (June 3, 2001) in Florida. Robert was born in Hartford, on Nov. 8, 1932, son of the late George and Cecelia (Ryan) Carros and had been a resident of Hartford, for 40 yrs and East Hartford for 20 yrs before before moving to Lake City, FL two years ago. Robert was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, and had been a Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. For many years, he was employed in Law Enforcement working as a Police Officer, for the Hartford Police Dept. He was also a member of the V.F.W. in Hartford. Besides his wife; Robert is survived by sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Vincent Linares of Old Lyme; brother, George and sister-in-law, Betty Jane Carros of Levittown, PA, sister, Noreen Aufiero of Manchester; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Cathy Carros of Burlington, numerous nieces, nephews,and grand nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Protector of Animals, P.O. Box 24, South Glastonbury, 06073. Funeral services are private. Burial with full military honors will take place in the Middletown V.A. Cemetery, Middletown. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, East Hartford.
