Roy Bafaro

Obituary Condolences

BAFARO, Roy Roy Bafaro 77, beloved husband of Margaret Bafaro, died Wednesday (April 26, 2006) at home after a long illness. He was born in Providence, RI, the son of the late Salvatore and Anna Bafaro. Roy was employed by HP Hood for 30 years before retiring. He also owned, Reed and Purcell Co. with his wife, before retiring to Florida. He spent the last 18 years in Port Orange, FL before moving back to be near family. He was a veteran of the Korean War. In addition to his wife "Uncle" Roy leaves three nieces, Marguerite Laubacher of Manchester, Jacqueline Duchesneau and her husband Dennis of Marlborough, and Lorraine Craig of Manchester. He also leaves a great-nephew, Tim Laubacher and his wife Debbie of Coventry, two great-nieces, Patricia Coburn and her husband Brian of Palmyra, PA and Susan St. Hilaire and her husband Kevin of Lakeland, FL. Roy is also survived by eight great-great-nieces and nephews, and two cousins, Roy's family would like to especially thank Paul Burnham, PJ Furness, and Mary DeLeo for the care and compassion that they showed to Roy and his family. They would also like to thank all the professionals at St. Francis Home Care and Hospice. Funeral Services will be Wednesday May 3, 9:15 a.m. from the Callahan Funeral Home, 1602 Main Street, East Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Rose Church, East Hartford. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Tuesday May 2, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
