PESSA, Sara Grace Damon
Sara Grace Damon Pessa, 21, died suddenly on Thursday (June 9, 2011) as she was working out at NYU in Manhattan. Having successfully completed her junior year at New York University, Sara was thoroughly enamored with acting, theatre and her city. With her love for life, compassion for others, and endearing humor and charm, Sara earned the friendship and love of her classmates and friends and high acclaim for her acting skills from her professors. Sara is survived in her hometown of Cromwell by her parents, Barbara Damon and Joseph Pessa, her sweet sister, Avery Pessa, and many other loving family members and friends locally and across the country.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 14th at 11 a.m. at Hilltop Covenant Church, 82 Hicksville Road, Cromwell. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Monday, June 13th from 5 to 8 p.m. at Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell and in lieu of flowers, may make donations in Sara's memory to Oddfellows Playhouse, 128 Washington Street, Middletown, CT 06457. All donations will be matched by a challenge grant. Peace be to the memory of this dearly beloved child of God. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.

Speechless, the loss of such a bright young woman with the world at her feet, makes absolutely no sense in life. We can only hope and pray for everyone whose life she has touched in this time of need. Iam sorry to her parens and immediate family for the untimely loss. I only hope we can start to understand the why, and I hope everyone can carry on with their own lives helping each other in this time of need and others throughout life

No parent should ever have to endure such loss, we understand as our son Jensen gained his wings in 2003.No matter how old they are they are always our babies. Our children are the light of our hearts and when we are left to grieve them we can feel so alone with the overwhelming pain, please know you are not. Many walk with you and we are near if you ever need anything. During this time be gentle with yourselves, Do what you can as you can, it's ok to let others do for you as you are grieving. We extend our hearts in sorrow and our hands in supportive friendship, we will keep you in our prayers.
