ROSSITTO, Sofio "Frank"
Sofio "Frank" Rossitto, 87, of Hartford, beloved husband for 54 years to Joan (Shepard) Rossitto died, Monday, (March 4, 2013) at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Hartford son of the late Natale and Josephine (Scionti) Rossitto and had lived in Hartford all of his life. Prior to his retirement, Frank worked for Aetna Life Insurance Co. for 32 years, he more recently worked at Stop & Shop Supermarket, Wethersfield part time for 20 years which he enjoyed very much. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, a communicant of St. Luke's Church and had served as a Deacon at St. Augustine Church for 11 years. Besides his wife he is survived by a son Kevin F. Rossitto of Hartford, a sister, Salvatrice "Bea" DiProto of Enfield, a nephew, Paul DiProto of Enfield, two nieces, Angela Opito and husband Thomas of Enfield and Denise Zaine and husband John of Windsor Locks, a great-niece and three great-nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Josephine Davey.
The funeral will be Saturday, March 9, 2013, 9:15 a.m. from The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. in St. Luke's Church, 66 Bolton St., Hartford. Burial with full military honors will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
