COINER, Susan
Susan Coiner, 66, of Harwich, MA, died Tuesday (July 31, 2012) at Epoch Senior Healthcare of Harwich. She was born December 12, 1945 in Chelsea, MA, daughter of the late Bernard E. and Alice (Turner) Francis and had lived in Simsbury, CT prior to moving to Harwich. She was a graduate of Bates College in Maine where she received her Bachelor's degree, and went on to earn a Master's degree at the University of Iowa, where she taught writing and English literature. Ms. Coiner was an editor of the Aetna Insurance Company Executive Magazine prior to her retirement in 1987. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Simsbury and Phi Beta Kappa. She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Coiner-Moyle of Palm Harbor, Florida; her sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Charles Salerno of West Yarmouth, MA; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Jan Francis of Chester, VT, and Steven and Sue Francis of Williamsburg, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury on Friday, August 3rd , from 6-8 p.m. Funeral will be Saturday, August 4th, 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Simsbury. Burial will follow in Simsbury Cemetery.
