SHEEHAN, Timothy Christopher Jr.
Timothy Christopher Sheehan Jr. 86, of Fort McCoy, FL went to be with the Lord on Sunday, (January 27, 2013) in Ocala, FL. Born in Hartford on Nov. 7, 1926, to Hilda (Mildner) Sheehan and Timothy C. Sheehan, Sr., he spent his childhood years growing up in Manchester and Hartford. Timothy then served his country as a U.S. Naval Seaman First Class in World War II after which he married and made residence in Rocky Hill for 28 years. Thereafter, Tim was a dedicated long time employee of Allstate Insurance Company. While pursuing a corporate career as an automobile insurance claims adjuster and regional manager, Timothy served in all six New England states for 33 years before retiring to Vermont and Florida. Living in Connecticut, Vermont and Florida gave Tim the opportunity to hunt, fish, enjoy the ocean and outdoors and also utilize his mechanical skills and construction talents in his hobbies of auto repair and carpentry. Timothy also enjoyed music, an interest which was both a passion and occupation of his parents. Besides his wife Mary D. Sheehan of Fort McCoy, Florida, he is survived by three of his children, daughters, Kathleen Goracy and her husband Leonard of Tariffville, Mary Sheehan of Manchester, and Maureen Briggeman and her husband of Manchester. He was predeceased by both his son Timothy "Chris" Christopher Sheehan III in February 2008 and also his first wife Doris (Smith) Sheehan in May 1997. He also leaves daughter in law Deborah Sheehan of Eastford, six grandchildren, Jessica Peronace and her husband Stephen of Newington, Joshua Sheehan of Cambridge, MA, Capt. Jacob Sheehan and his wife Rachel of Raleigh, NC, Mark Goracy and his wife Cynthia of Valley Cottage, NY, Ian Briggeman and his wife Amanda of Bellingham, MA, and Sean Briggeman of Manchester. and four great-grandchildren, Matthew, Benjamin, and Zachary Peronace, and Eva Goracy. Tim's life also touched and impacted the lives of extended family members and their families of whom he also leaves, Cynthia and Bradley Jackson of Rockford, IL, Colleen and Nicholas Pappas of Randolph, VT, and Jamie and Karen Adams of Gainesville, FL. Timothy C. Sheehan Jr. will be greatly missed. The memory and true legacy of his life will remain in the hearts of his family, relatives and friends forever.
