DUFFY, Virginia
Virginia (Clark) Duffy, 91, of South Windsor and formerly of Manchester, beloved wife of the late Allan W. Clark and the late John Duffy passed away Wednesday, (April 3, 2013) at an area convalescent home. She was born Oct. 23, 1921 in Keene, NH, beloved daughter of the late Paul H. & Pauline (Plummer) Clark and had lived in Manchester for many years before moving to South Windsor in 1994. Virginia was a longtime member of Center Congregational Church in Manchester where she served as Deacon, she was a member of the church choir for more than 30 years and was also a member of the Cosmopolitan Club. She served on the Manchester Republican Town Committee, the Manchester Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, she was a member of the South Windsor Community Chorus and was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star Temple Chapter # 53. Mrs. Duffy is survived by two daughters, Patricia Zimkiewicz of Manchester, Cheryl Pitts and her husband John of Indianapolis, IN, a brother Robert Clark and his wife Fran of Manchester, six grandchildren, Mark Zimkiewicz and his wife Carrie, Lynn Latimer, Lisa Riendeau and her husband Brian, Heather Patrick and her husband Douglas, Robin Wojcieszek and her husband Bill, Jason Pitts and his wife Maya, ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Virginia was predeceased by her son-in-law Louis Zimkiewicz and four brothers, Richard, Dexter, Ronald and Keith.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Westminster section of the East Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
