Fredirick William Daniel ARNDT Obituary
ARNDT, Fredirick William Daniel Fredirick William Daniel Arndt passed away on Wednesday, December 8, after losing his battle with Parkinson's disease at Norwalk Hospital. Born on December 5, 1934 in Waterbury to Curt and Margaret Arndt. He is survived by his sister Hannelore (Lorie) Seely of East Hampton, his brother Richard and his wife Cheryl of Clinton, his nephew Steven Domin and his wife Gail and their children Ben, Meghan and Rob of West Suffield. Fred grew up in Waterbury and West Hartford, graduating from Hall High School in 1952, and the University of Connecticut in 1956 with a BA in Finance. Fred then went onto the Air Force serving in Vietnam from 1961-1962. He joined the New York Air National Guard, retiring as a Colonel in command of the Direct Air Support Squadron (DASQ). Fred joined American Airlines in 1965 retiring in 1994 and then worked for Net Jets for 10 years. Fred was a Mason at Acacia Lodge #85 as well as a Sphinx Shriner and also a Jester. A Memorial and a Masonic service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Greenwich, where Fred was an active member. The service will be on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. 108 Sound Beach Avenue, Old Greenwich. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Boston Shriners Hospital Patient Transportation Fund at Shriners Hospital for Children 51 Blossom Street Boston, Mass 02114-2699.
