May C. Rindfleisch, 95, of Bristol, widow of Arthur J. Rindfleisch, passed away peacefully, Friday, February 7, 2014, at Ingraham Manor Nursing Home. May was born December 25, 1918 in Peel Carlton County, N.B., Canada and was a daughter of the late Elmer and Christine (Boone) Tompkins. May and Arthur were married for 54 years and were Bristol residents. She was employed at Smith Gates, Farmington prior to her retirement in 1981. She was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church. Mrs. Rindfleisch is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Arthur W. and Ilene Rindfleisch of Bristol; a brother: Gerald Tompkins of Chula Vista, CA; two granddaughters: Melissa and Jennifer Rindfleisch; two sisters-in-law: Eleanor O'Regan and her husband Edward and Dorothy Forrest, all of Bristol; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers: Charles, Clint, Frank and Raymond Tompkins; and two sisters: Ivy and Thelma. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2012, 11 A.M., at the Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. Burial will follow in Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10 to 11A.M. Memorial donations may be made to St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 1125 Stafford Ave., Bristol, CT 06010.
