Erik M. Bass Obituary

Erik M. Bass, 33, a life-long resident of New Britain, Ct. was called home suddenly, Friday February 21, 2014 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Erik was the loving son of Larry and Dorothy (Green) Bass of New Britain, CT. He graduated from E.C. Goodwin Technical School with Honors and went on to become an Electrician. He began his electrical career with Ferguson Electrical and became a dedicated and valued employee. Erik then went on to become an Electrician for the State of Ct. Dept. of Corrections. Erik's love was beyond any other, he touched so many lives just with his presence. His infectious smile would light up a room and he was known to be the life of the party. His memory will live on through his children and family. Erik is survived by his beloved wife, Janet Bass, his five children, Darius Kot, Azya Bass, Ava Kot, Janae and Za'nya Bass, all of New Britain, Ct., his two sisters, Aror James and her husband Darius and Jillian Bass, his niece, Ozya James, his two nephews, Shaquille James and Nasir Williams and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Homegoing Celebration for Erik will be held Friday February 28, 2014 at 12 p.m. from the Paul A. Shaker / Farmingdale Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Avenue, New Britain, Ct. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain, Ct. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker / Farmingdale Funeral Home, Friday from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Directions to funeral home: I-84 East or West - Exit 37 (Fienemann Road) right off exit - one mile down on right.
