Kurtis Robert Skelley Obituary

Kurtis Robert Skelley of Avon, beloved son of Lisa Skelley Ludwig and Douglas M. Skelley, entered into God's loving arms, Monday, March 3, 2014. Born in Hartford, he lived in South Windsor and then Avon where he made some of his best friends. Kurt was a warm hearted, kind and gentle young man. He had a passion for the outdoors, loved skiing, hiking, and especially lacrosse. He played varsity lacrosse at Avon High School for three years and was named All Conference and All State, before graduating in 2011. He then attended Springfield College, MA, for two years, where he continued to play lacrosse and currently was attending the University of Colorado, Boulder. Besides his mother Lisa Skelley Ludwig of Avon and father Douglas M. Skelley of Avon; he leaves his brothers Derek Skelley of Chicago and Dean Skelley of Avon, who meant the world to him; his adoring grandparents Robert and Nancy Ludwig of Ellington; and many awesome and loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his cherished grandparents Robert and Johanne Skelley. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service to celebrate Kurt's life, Saturday, March 8, 2014, 10 AM at Valley Community Baptist Church, 590 West Avon Road, Avon.
