Ida M. Dellaripa Obituary

Ida (Mirabelli) Dellaripa, 84, of Dedham, MA, formerly of Hartford, passed into eternal rest on Saturday (March 8, 2014) after a brief illness. Born in Soveria Mannelli, Province of Catanzaro, Italy, she was the daughter of Antonio and Rosina (Cardamone) Mirabelli. She emigrated to Hartford in 1954 where she lived for 58 years. She was employed by Underwood Typewriter and retired from Church Homes, Inc. in Hartford. She was a communicant of St. Lawrence O'Toole Church and served as a eucharistic minister. She was also an active member of its church choir, parish council, and Holy Name Society. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfonso Dellaripa and was devoted to her three children and their families, Maria Dellaripa Comery and son-in-law William J. Comery; Paul F. Dellaripa, M.D. and daughter-in-law Monique E. Roth, M.D.; Joanna Dellaripa Rosenberg and son-in-law Aaron Rosenberg. She was a loving "nonna" to Emma T. Comery, Benjamin C. Dellaripa, and Nathan A. Rosenberg. She leaves two sisters, Flora Rovella and Fernanda Caligiuri; three brothers, Victor, Anthony, Michelangelo, and the late Federico Mirabelli. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins throughout the U.S., Canada, and Italy. Friends and family are invited to call from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday (March 12, 2014) at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, 494 New Britain Ave., Hartford. Entombment will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
