Victoria Vitali Gielarowski Obituary

Victoria Vitali Gielarowski, 81, passed away after a very long battle with Alzheimer's on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at Kimberly Hall Nursing Home. Victoria was born in Guilford, CT on December 11, 1932. Prior to her retirement, she was past president and CEO of Hartford Federal Credit Union for 28 years, formerly known as St. Francis Hospital Federal Credit Union & Family Federal Credit Union. She was also past president of the Hartford Chapter of the CT Credit Union League, and also served on the board of directors for the CT Credit Union League for many years. She was very involved in the credit union movement locally and nationally. She was predeceased by her parents Achille and Rosina Vitali; two brothers Joseph Vitali and John Vitali; sister Mary Shaw; an infant son Bruce David Gielarowski; and son Michael A. Gielarowski. She is survived by her daughter Nadine LaCombe and son-in-law Armand LaCombe; grandchildren Vanessa and Brendan LaCombe; brothers Achille, Rino and David Vitali; sister Sofy Henshke; many nieces and nephews; and long time friend Chrissy Kubicki. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends who she loved and cherished. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Kimberly Hall who took care of her from 2003-2014 and also to the Masonicare Hospice team. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Vicki's life with a Memorial Mass to be held at 11AM on Monday, April 14, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 673 Ellington Rd., South Windsor, CT.
