Harold F. Neuhauser Obituary

Harold F. Neuhauser, 69, of Middletown and formerly of Bloomfield passed away Friday, March 7, 2014 at Hartford Hospital. Born September 6, 1944 in Hartford son of the late George and Anna (Machholz) Neuhauser he lived in Bloomfield most of his life. After high school he served with the U.S. Army during Veitnam War serving in Okinawa. After serving his country he was employed by the Town of Bloomfield working for the Highway Department. He later worked for himself as a landscaper and his customers became part of his extended family. He treasured the time spent with his family, especially the family picnics, 4th of July fireworks, Christmas spent in Bloomfield and Simsbury. He was an avid UCONN Men's Basketball fan attending many games with family and friends at the XL Center. Harold loved to do puzzles, playing pitch, was a star at Jeopardy and enjoyed playing golf at Goodwin Park. He is survived by two brothers, Walter Neuhauser of Manlius, NY and Herbert Neuhauser of Simsbury; Fred Wilhelm, a cousin, and his wife, Edith; nieces, Lynn Fourkiotis, Mary Rowland, Pamela Holden, Julie Theise and their spouses; nephews, Steven Neuhauser and Mark Neuhauser and dear friend Anastasios Fourkiotis as well as many great nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside service with military honors at the convenience of the family in Mountain View Cemetery, Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The UCONN Foundation, ATTN: Men's Basketball Scholarship, 2390 Alumni Dr., Storrs, CT 06269. Carmon Windsor Funeral Home has care of arrangements.
