James J. Vaccariello Obituary


James J. Vaccariello, 93, of Glastonbury, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014. He was the beloved husband of the late Edith C. (Rich) Vaccariello. Born in Rutland, Vermont, son of the late Frank and Frances (Garofano) Vaccariello, he moved to New Britain in 1936 and lived in Newington for 22 years before most recently relocating to Glastonbury. James honorably served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was formerly employed at Pyramid Plastics, and Landers, Frary and Clark for many years. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, Newington and a former member of Northwestern TGM Veteran Club of New Britain. A loving and devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather; he was forever caring and supportive of his family. He leaves his daughter Patricia A. LeBrun of South Windsor, his three grandchildren Darcy LeBrun of Sarasota, Florida, Stacey LeBrun of Savannah, Georgia, and Jodi Tomany and her husband Sean and two great grandchildren, Patrick and Matthew Tomany all of Glastonbury. He also leaves close family friend Lisa Richard and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Pellegrino "Pep" Vaccariello, Paschal "Pat" Vaccariello, John Vaccariello and his sister Geneva "Jenny" (Vaccariello) Sedcieski. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, March 20th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Avenue, Newington. His funeral will begin on Friday, March 21st, at 8:30 a.m. at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Newington.
