Richard F. Lach Obituary

Richard F. Lach, 83, of Hartford, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Born in Hartford, son of the late Bruno and Josephine (Mieszwinski) Lach, he had lived in Hartford all his life. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Hamilton Standard as an Electrical Engineer for many years. Richard was the second youngest of eleven children, but was respected and was treated as the family patriarch. He was an avid reader and a Red Sox fan. Picnics and holidays were always special at his home, those times will be missed by the family. He has left us with wonderful memories. He is survived by his brother Walter Lach of Hartford; four sisters Wanda Bedard of Hartford, Josephine Branday of Farmington, Irene Stevens of Clearwater, FL and Gloria Frickman of Tampa, FL; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by three brothers John Lach, Henry Lach, and Chester Lach; and two sisters Virginia Humlicek and Silvia Plachoko. Funeral procession will be Saturday, March 22, 11:00 am from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11:30 am in Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, 55 Charter Oak Ave., Hartford. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hour will be prior to the funeral procession from 10:00- 11:00 am at the funeral home.
