Barbara A. Mayotte Obituary

Barbara A. (Janak) Mayotte, 75, of Brookfield and formerly of Plainville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Wednesday afternoon, March 19, 2004. She was the wife of Paul Mayotte. Barbara was born in Hartford on July 26, 1938 a daughter of the late Charles and Christine (Murray) Janak and grew up in Wethersfield, graduating from Wethersfield High School in 1956. In Wethersfield she was a member of the Col. John Chester Fife & Drum Corps and at one time was employed at Connecticut General Insurance Co. Barbara and her husband lived in Plainville from 1966 until moving to Brookfield in 2001 where she was a member of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church. She had been an assistant teacher at the Plainville Day Care from 1986 to 2001. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Matthew (Jennifer) Mayotte of Troy, AL; daughters Trina (William) Garrity of Plainville, Leah (Chip) Graham of Jasper, AL, and Kara (Scott) Simard) of Berlin.; brother Richard (Carol) Janak of Bristol; grandchildren Kate, Riley, Molly, Luke, Duncan, Tristan and Conlan; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Joan Stone. The family would like to thank the Emergency Room, ICU, and Respiratory staffs of the Hospital of Central Connecticut New Britain General Campus for all of their kindness and compassion. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Forestville/Bristol. Friends are asked to meet directly at church. Interment will be private at Holy Family Mausoleum, Bristol. There are no calling hours.
