J. Selma Krampitz Obituary

J. Selma Krampitz died peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Wynwood of Chapel Hill, NC where she had been a resident since July, 2012. She was born December 22, 1914 in Bristol, CT to the late Adolf and Leopoldine (Neske) Kroll. She had been a lifelong resident of Bristol until moving to Durham, NC to live with her daughter and son-in-law in 2010. Selma was predeceased by her sister, Marie Hoffman, and her brothers, John, Rudolph and Alfred. She was the widow of the late Reinhardt Krampitz who predeceased her in 1980. Selma is survived by her son, Kenneth (Susan) of Scottsdale, AZ; her daughter, Donna (Elmo) Walston of Durham, NC; her granddaughter, Rebecca (Brian) Grovenstein of Cary, NC; and great-granddaughter, Hope of Cary, NC. She is also survived by several sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Krampitz had been a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Bethlehem Lutheran Church (currently St. Andrews). She attended Immanuel Lutheran School and graduated from Bristol High School in 1933. Later, a stay-at-home Mom, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and baking. A funeral service will be held at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol on Monday, March 24 at 10 AM, with visitation from 9am to 10am.
