Joseph M. Klish Obituary

Joseph M. Klish, Sr., 96, of Port Richey, FL passed away peacefully on March 29, 2014 at Gulfside Hospice at Bayonet Point with his loving family at his side. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Joseph moved his devoted wife and four children to CT in 1960 and later retired in Florida As a young man, Joseph began "flipping houses" long before that term and concept became popular; thereby creating a life-long hobby which he enjoyed until recently. He loved to repair anything that needed repair and he delighted his grandchildren with stories of what life was like almost a century ago. He will be greatly missed by his four adoring children, Frances Klish of Vernon, CT, Rita Ford (Everett) of Windsor, CT, Barbara Calderone (Gino) of Farmington, CT and Joseph Klish, Jr. (Maria) of Lebanon, CT, his sister, Catherine Czajkowski (Chester) of Michigan, his brother John Klish of Pennsylvania, three grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 68 years, Sadie, four sisters and his grandson, Joseph Stephen Klish. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. on Friday, April 4, 2014 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 8014 Florida 52, Hudson, FL followed by internment at Grace Memorial Gardens, Hudson, FL. Friends and family may gather at 8:30 A.M. on April 4th at Prevatt Funeral Home, 7709 SR 52, Hudson, FL 34667. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gulfside Hospice at Bayonet Point, 7210 Beacon Woods Drive, Hudson FL 34667 or St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, 114 Woodland Street, Hartford, CT 060105.
