Frances (Cytlou) Styran, 83, of East Hartford, passed away on Tuesday, April 1st, 2014 at her home after a long illness surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 18th, 1930 in Boston, MA to the late Stanley and Helen (Krawczk) Cytlou. She resided in East Hartford for 53 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Before retiring in 1993, Frances was employed by Hartford Steam Boiler. During her retirement, she enjoyed babysitting for her seven grandchildren. She will be most remembered for her dedication and love for her grandchildren whom she cherished. She leaves to cherish her memory, her six children, Mary Styran and her companion Mark Orr of Chico, CA, Elizabeth Styran and her companion James Davis of South Windsor, Stanley Styran and his wife Helen of Broad Brook, Irene Coffey and her husband Timothy of Windsor, John Styran of East Hartford and Anthony Styran of South Windsor. She will be dearly missed forever by her seven cherished grandchildren who were the loves of her life - Stephanie (Styran) Brunton and her husband Isaac, Timothy Joseph Coffey, Jessica Coffey, Kathleen Coffey, Alex Styran, Andrew Styran and Abbie Styran. She also leaves behind to mourn her passing her cousins Helen (Bieback) and Frederick Sokolowski, Angie (Bieback) and Charles Costa and John and Lin Bieback and extended family members Nancy Zajac, Scott Burgoyne and Jodie Godden Styran. The family would like to thank the VNA Healthcare Hospice of Hartford with a heartfelt gratitude to Lara, Angie, Claudette and Janeth for their compassion and care during the last five months. Friends and family are welcome to gather on Saturday, April 5th, 2014 starting at 9 am, at Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT 06108 followed by a Funeral Service at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
