Donna Labowski Obituary


Donna (Barrett) Labowski, 65, of Newington, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Hartford Hospital. She was the loving wife of John Labowski for nearly 42 years. Born and raised in Hartford, daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred (Patrissi) Barrett, she had resided in Newington for the past 35 years where she was a member of St. Mary's Church. Donna loved to read and go to the beach with her family, especially White Sands Beach in Old Lyme. She loved to sing and enjoyed countless hours watching movies with her kids and grandkids. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Donna's family was the most important thing in her life and she was happiest when surrounded by her kids and grandkids. Donna will be dearly missed by her husband John; her children, Lisa Cyr and her husband James of Newington, Christopher Labowski and his wife Toni of Enfield and Paul Labowski and his wife Sheri of Plainville; her grandchildren, Nathaniel Cyr of Newington, and Aaden and Andrew Labowski of Plainville. She also leaves her sisters, Diane Barrett of Newington and Denise Michaud, her husband Phil and her children Norissa and Evan Warzocha, all of FL. Donna's funeral will begin at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, April 11th at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave. in Newington, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at St. Mary's Church in Newington at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest in West Meadow Cemetery in Newington immediately following the Mass. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Newington Memorial. Memorial donations in Donna's name may be made to the , P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA, 02241-7005.
