Pella Zeppa Obituary

Pella (Petrakis) Ferris Zeppa, 84 of Wethersfield, died Friday April 11, 2014 at Hartford Hospital. She was born in Hartford daughter of the late Michael and Mersina Petrakis. She was the widow of Aldo C. Zeppa and Harold L. Ferris. Prior to her retirement, Pella worked as an accountant for the Glastonbury Board of Education for several years. She was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral and a member of the Senior Citizens of the church. She was a member of Young Italians American Assoc. and a former member of "KACEYS" of Newington. For a number of years she volunteered with Meals on Wheels. She is survived by her son, Michael G. Ferris and his wife Kristen of Wethersfield, three grandchildren, Sean, Matthew and Michael Ferris, her brother Dr. Gregory M. Petrakis and his wife Joan of West Hartford and many friends. The funeral will be Wednesday, April 16th, 12 p.m. in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 433 Fairfield Ave. Hartford, CT 06114 with the Rev. Dr. F. George Zugravu officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday, prior to the funeral 10-11:30 a.m. at Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield.
