Sy Singhachack Obituary


Sy Singhachack, 94, of Manchester, beloved husband of Pheng (Bouthsady) Singhachack, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2014. Born in Laos to the late Tan and Som Singhachack, he immigrated to the US in 1988. Before coming to the US, Sy served his country proudly as a Major in the Laotian Army. He was a member of the Lao Lane Xang Temple of CT and the Lao Association of CT. Sy is a traditional Laos man, enjoyed reading Buddhist teachings and practices. He loved to cook and fish in his spare time, but most important was his family who will miss him dearly. Besides his wife Pheng of Manchester, he is survived by his sons Kongkeo Singhachack and his wife Hongkhao and Kaysone Singhachack; his daughters Vanhly Sengchanhpheng and her husband Bounseng, Khamsay Singhachack, Saythong Singhachack, Chanhsamone (Jennifer) and her husband Sonny Phang, Manivone (Michelle) Singhachack, his brother; nephews and nieces; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son Saykham Singhachack and daughter Saythong Singhachack. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, April 19 at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave Windsor.
