Phyllis L. Cassarino Obituary


Phyllis L. Cassarino, 93, of Windsor, beloved wife of Paul J. Cassarino, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Kimberly Hall in Windsor with her family by her side. She was born April 4, 1921 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to the late Walter and Louise (Duffin) Wallace. Phyllis will be remembered for her sense of style; she was always fashionably dressed with the appropriate accessories. She loved to dance, to travel and had been to Europe, South America and many tropical islands around the world. She will also be remembered as a wonderful cook. She was a past Superintendent of Sunday School for Stanley Memorial Church and most recently a friend of the Grace Episcopal Church in Windsor where her husband was a member. In addition to her husband Paul, she is survived by her son, Christopher Cassarino of Windsor; her brother, Walter Wallace of Berlin; her son-in-law, Daniel of Towson, MD; as well as her granddaughter, Aleksandra Bailey. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her daughter, Deborah Bailey. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 10 a.m. at the Grace Episcopal Church, 311 Broad St., Windsor. Burial will follow in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Her family will receive friends on Monday, April 21, from 4-7 p.m. at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor.
