Douglas O. Tew Obituary

Douglas O. Tew, 67, of Terryville, formerly of Unionville, beloved husband of Mrs. Patricia (Bush) Tew, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 at Bristol Hospital. Douglas was born in Hartford, February 27, 1947, son of the late Oliver C. Tew and Lillian (Toth) Tew. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Douglas was a carpenter and a member of the SEIU Local Union and the American Legion, Seicheprey Post 2, in Bristol. Besides his wife Patricia, he is survived by his two children; Christian D. Tew of Unionville, and Tricia C Tew of Bristol; one brother and his wife, Russell S. Tew and Janice C. Tew of West Hartford; his nieces and nephews, Kevin Swanson, Kim Just, Gregory Tew, Jamie McLaughlin, Matthew Tew; and several great nieces and nephews. Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St, Rte. 4, and Unionville, CT 06032 on Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and also on Friday, April 25, in The Ahern Funeral Home from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Avon, CT. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Office, 55 W.
