Edward J. Adames Obituary


Edward "Eddie" John Adames, 49, of Southington died unexpectedly at home Wednesday, April 23, 2014. Born July 18, 1964 in Bronx, NY, he was loving son of Andres and Ana D. (Matos) Adames. Eddie was the owner of the well-known and very popular El Sombrero Mexican Restaurant in Southington. He loved his children, family and friends; he would do anything for them. He loved riding Harleys, golf and the NY Giants. A member of the CT Amateur Golf Tour and Team Caguas, Eddie took pride in always being well dressed especially on the golf course. In addition to his parents he is survived by his son and daughter Chase and Gabriella Adames and step-daughter Hailey Peterson, he loved them with all his heart; a brother Andy Adames of Oxford; Uncle John Matos, Aunts, Nora Erickson, Nilda Matos, Alice Tuben, Olga Galarza and Nilda Suarez; Niece Alexandra and Nephew Drew Adames and a special extended family, Diane Sone and her children Alexis and Brianna.He also leaves his dedicated staff at El Sombrero's who were like family to him, especially Gaby and Luis. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, April 28, 2014 at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N.
