Verna M. Jandreau Obituary


Verna M. Jandreau, of Bristol, widow of Rudolph R. Jandreau, The Love of Her Life, who she lost on January 2, 1973, passed away peacefully at Ingraham Manor, where she had been for the last eight years. Her five children and her Ingraham family were by her side throughout, and for that we are so thankful. With too many names to mention, you are all in our hearts. She was born in St. Francis, Maine on April 23, 1924, a daughter of the late Victor and Isabell (Gagnon) Jandreau. She attended Maine schools before moving to Bristol in 1962 and retired from Superior Electric in 1987 with 24 years of service. She is survived by her five children and their spouses, Allan and Patricia (Ouellette) Jandreau, Peggy and Joseph Taggett, Merleen and Norman Pelletier, Kirk and Mary Ellen (Platt) Jandreau and Bradford and Donna (Bates) Jandreau. Ten grandchildren; Alicia Langlais, Leslie Kochanski, Kyle Jandreau, Kimberly Keegan, Kelly Tellier, Shaun Pelletier, Chelsy Blain, Rudy Pelletier, Kayla DaSilva and Marisa Jandreau; fifteen great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Mason and Braydon Langlais, Trent Kochanski, Andrew, Jacob, Jenna and Julia Keegan, Aiden, Alana, Abrielle Tellier, Everett, Ella, Elijah Pelletier, Liam Blain with the DaSilva baby due in May. She is survived by seven sisters; Mrs. Bella Plourde, Mrs. Winifred Jandreau, Mrs. Vina Ouellette, Mrs. Marybelle Jandreau, Mrs. Nadine Taggett, Mrs. Angie Taggett, Mrs. Margie Taggett and five brothers; Alphondore, Marvin, Hansley, Nelson and Calvin Jandreau; and also many spouses of her grandchildren, siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 9 AM from O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville/Bristol to St. Matthew Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8PM at the funeral home.
