Magali Ann (Hartigan) Audet Obituary


Magali Ann (Hartigan) Audet, 67, of Farmington passed away from this life on May 5, 2014 after a long battle with Leukemia with her loving husband and children by her side. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 7, 1946, the daughter of the late Richard and Jean Hartigan, she graduated from Framingham State University with a degree in education. Magali is survived by her loving husband, Richard, of forty-five years. Loving mother of Elizabeth Day and her husband Brian of Plymouth, Massachusetts; Amy Landers and her husband Mark of Glastonbury; Richard Audet and his wife Michelle of East Lyme; Justin Audet and his wife Amy of Bristol. Devoted sister of Richard, and his wife, Jeanette Hartigan of Naples, Florida and Kevin, and his wife, Nancy Hartigan of Wayland, Massachusetts. Loving Grammy to Chloe, Mackenzie and Kelsey Landers, Owen and Declan Day, and Luke and Nolan Audet. Magali is also survived by many nieces and nephews and countless friends. She was a retired manager of the University of Connecticut Dental School and a charter member of the NY Sports Club water aerobatics group. Magali was a longtime supporter and volunteer for the Celebrate! West Hartford community fair. She treasured her time with her family and friends, especially enjoying her weekly 'game day' with the girls. The family wishes to pay tribute to Magali's medical team at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and UConn John Dempsey Hospital, all who provided excellent care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA. Magali was dearly loved by the many whose lives she touched. A Mass of Celebration and Remembrance of Life will be held at St. Patrick's Church at 110 Main Street, Farmington, Connecticut at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014. Ahern Funeral Homes of Unionville has charge of arrangements.
