Marion Farmer Obituary


Marion Farmer, 97, beloved wife to the late James G. Farmer, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Seabury in Bloomfield, CT. She was born in Bronx, NY on October 18, 1916, daughter of the late Frank Miltner and Mary (W¿rtenburger) Miltner, and resided in Bloomfield for the past 20 years. Marion and James were long-time residents of Riverside, CT having lived there for nearly forty years prior to their move to Bloomfield. They were active parishioners at St. Paul's Episcopal Church since 1956. Marion is survived by her son Robert C. Farmer of Emerald Isle, NC, daughter Nancy Farmer of Osterville, MA, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Seabury Retirement Community, in particular the health team and nurses at Brewer Center, for their kindness to and care of Marion over the years. A private memorial service and interment in the Memorial Garden will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Riverside, CT at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 200 Riverside Avenue, Riverside, CT 06878.
