Edward A. Regan Obituary

Edward A. Regan, 83, of Enfield, husband of the late Elaine (Johns) Regan, died Monday (May 12, 2014) at Bickford Healthcare Center in Windsor Locks. Born on July 8, 1930 in Boston, MA, son of the late Joseph and Mabel (Sayer) Regan, he was raised in Dorchester, MA, enlisted in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and moved to Enfield. He was employed for 20 years by the State of Connecticut with the DPUC and retired to Riverview, Florida for 20 years. He enjoyed following the former Hartford Whalers, the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins. He was an avid bowler. He leaves his children, Maureen Kelley and her husband, Robert of Enfield and Robert Regan and his wife, Lynn of Enfield; four grandchildren, Michelle Kelley in North Carolina, Trisha Regan of West Hartford, Robert Regan of West Hartford and Bryan Kelley in Missouri; a great granddaughter, Regan Grace Santino and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Ronald Regan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 16 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Patrick King Street Cemetery, Enfield. His family will receive friends Friday, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield.
