Mary A. Gledich Obituary


"Aunt Mary" 92, of Windsor Locks, wife of the late Joseph Gledich, entered into eternal rest on Monday (May 12, 2014) at Kimberly Hall South Building, Windsor surrounded by her family. Aunt Mary was born in Hartford on June 15, 1921 daughter of the late, Dennis P. Murray from Atlone, Ireland and Annie (Clancey) Murray from Ofaley, Ireland and had lived in Windsor Locks for most of her life. Before retiring she was a telephone operator at Mount Sinai Hospital, Hartford. Aunt Mary was a longtime communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Windsor Locks. She enjoyed her visits to the Windsor Locks and East Granby Senior Centers, going to the movies and golfing. She leaves her nieces and nephews, Craig Murray and his wife, Jennifer of West Suffield , David Murray of Springfield, MA, Alana Murray of Windsor, Kelly Finlay and her husband, Richard of Windsor Locks, Lori Lane and her husband, Edward of Broad Brook, and Lisa Gledich of East Windsor; seven grandnieces and nephews, Erin, Kyla, Sean, Allie, Kasey, Ryan and Caitlin and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Gledich of Broad Brook and Fonda Murray of Windsor Locks and her canine companion, Maggie, which she adored so much. She was predeceased by three brothers, John "Jack" Murray, Dennis Murray and Donald Holton; a sister-in-law, Beverly Murray and a brother-in-law, Ronald Gledich. Aunt Mary's family extends their special thank you to the staff of Kimberly Hall South Building, Windsor. We Miss Her Already. Family and friends may gather Saturday, May 17 at 10:30 a.m. at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 52 South Elm St., Windsor Locks. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Her family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Locks Lions Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 105, Windsor Locks, CT 06096.
