Angie Costa Obituary

Angie (Bieback) Costa, 69, of Cromwell, beloved wife of Charles Costa, passed away on Monday, May 27th at Middlesex Hospital Hospice Unit. Angie celebrated her life and was grateful for all of God's Blessings. We are all grateful for having known her for sixty-nine years. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late John and Nellie (Kurciak) Bieback and was a member of Saint John Church in Cromwell. Angie put her body, soul and passing into the hands of the Lord in unwavering faith. Angie was a person of integrity; never wanted to intrude into anyone's space and always willing to help someone in need. She was devoted to her husband and loved her family and cherished all family gatherings. She lit up a room with her smile and bubbly personality. Cocia Angie was the one crawling around on the floor playing with her nieces and nephews. She always bought the latest toys for Christmas, birthdays and her Easter baskets were works of art. Deeply religious, Angie attended daily Mass for twenty years. We know that she is in a better place and free of pain but we will miss her and grieve her passing for years to come. Family parties will not be the same without her smile and her famous cooking-cream puffs, éclairs, cheese cake and her Italian cooking will be sorely missed. She could always be counted on to bring something special from her kitchen to an event. The Bieback and Costa families were united because of her caring personality and she made us all better for being in our lives. Along with her husband, she is survived by her brother, John Bieback and his wife, Lin of Ellington; a sister, Helen Sokolowski and her husband, Frederick of East Hartford; a niece, Allison Bieback; two nephews, Greg Fronczek and his wife, Heather and Thomas Bieback; great nieces, Alex and Marnie Fronczek and many cousins including the Blicharz, Aurigemma and Costa Families. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Mary Fronczek and brother-in-law, Fred Fronczek. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 30th at 10:00 a.m. at Saint John Church, 5 Saint John Court, Cromwell, followed by a burial in Saint John Cemetery in Glastonbury. Family and friends may call on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell. In lieu of flowers, donations in Angie's memory may be made to Padre Pio Foundation, 463Main Street, Cromwell, CT 06457.
