Holly and Butch Holland Obituary

Holly Holland, 44, and Butch (Norman) Holland, 48, of Willimantic, passed away on Thursday, June 5th, 2014, from injuries received in a car accident. Holly, born on July 25th, 1969, and Butch, born on July 26th, 1965, were undoubtedly remarkable individuals. Holly and Butch always thought of others, especially their children, before themselves. Holly was an extremely compassionate individual and was always there whenever any person needed her; whether it was to ask for advice, to talk, or to just lend an ear. Butch was an exceptional conversationalist, welcoming every person with open arms, ready to talk about any topic at a moments notice and always waiting for the opportunity to make someone laugh. Holly was an avid reader, always looking for another captivating book to read and Butch enjoyed the outdoors; whether he was hunting, fishing, or doing work around the yard. Both Holly and Butch were dedicated individuals, taking an active role at St. Mary St. Joseph's school, Uconn and St. Joseph's church. Their personalities, smiles and outlook on life could always bring light to a room and impart joy upon others. The people that Holly and Butch touched is infinite and their memory will forever remain ingrained upon their family and friend's hearts. Holly and Butch are survived by their three children, Chelsea, Brandon and Meghan Holland. In addition, Holly is survived by her parents, Carl and Starr Sward, her sisters Teri, Christi, Penny and Gaye, and her brother Ross, while Butch is survived by his father, Norman R. Holland and his sister, Vonda. Holly and Butch are also survived by their many aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Butch is preceded by his stepmother Micky Holland and his sister Dawn Holland. Their families will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic. Parking is in the rear of the church. Their Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, June 12th at St. Joseph Church at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private. Kindly omit flowers.
