Born in Hartford on March 28, 1951, daughter of the late Albert O. Theresa worked at The Hartford Insurance Company for over 15 years and retired as a project manager. She was very dedicated to her work and proud of the achievements she accomplished during her time with the company along with the many friendships her time there had fostered. She has had a lifelong love of gardening, bird watching, walking in the woods. Theresa spent most of her summers at her family cabin on Upper Goose Pond in Lee, MA. She would tell you it was her favorite place to be in the whole world. She enjoyed growing up with her siblings, cousins, and family friends playing in the water and running through the woods and passed this tradition and love of nature on to her children and grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Theresa was an active parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Suffield where she was involved in many aspects of the Church community. She served as a lector, a Eucharistic minister, and on the various Church committees. She leaves a daughter, Amy Lynn (Gyngell) Puncavage and her husband Robert of Leesburg, VA; a son, Gordon P. Gyngell IV and his wife Michelle of Colchester; a brother, Michael Bolduc of Simsbury; four sisters, Kathleen Illusky and her husband John of Harwinton, Margaret Arnold of Pleasant Valley, Elizabeth Wright and Thomas Fortier of Winsted, and Mary D'Esopo and her husband John of Granby; a brother-in-law, Richard Jolie of Granby; and three grandchildren whom she cherished, Ashley Marie Puncavage of Leesburg, VA, Aiden Michael Gyngell and Emma Rose Gyngell of Colchester. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Patricia George. Her family will receive friends on Sunday, July 6, 4-7 p.m., at the Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, 364 Salmon Brook St., Granby. Family and friends may gather on Monday, July 7, 8:45 a.m., at the Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, Granby, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church in Suffield.
