Margaret J. O'Palick Obituary

Composed by Margaret "Peggy" J. O'Palick who passed on July 10, 2014. I've come to the end of my journey here on earth. Next stop? Beats the hell out of me, so I won't be going there. In the meantime, I'd like to tell you that I've had a pretty good 68 years here. I was born on Jan. 24th,1946, in Youngstown, Ohio, to the late John & Ann Gesacion. In 1967, I married my high school sweetheart, Stephen. In 1970, our daughter Stacey was born, followed by our 3 sons, Joel (1976), Keith (1978), and Damon (1980). Loved being a Mom. Each year was packed with precious moments, precious moments I will always be thankful for. They say rough times make you strong, but I say that's baloney. What makes you strong is family & friends, the people who stand with you, are there for you, & more importantly, you are there for them. All that combined makes you who you are, add to that your own individual brand of you. I'll miss not being here with you all, especially my husband, children, grandkids Linus & Kayla, children-in-law Andrew, Meliza & Tiffany, brother James (Elizabeth), sister Liz (Ron), nieces & nephews, best family ever, & my dear friends. Keep in mind, no one gets anywhere by themselves. Many were there to help you along your many paths in life, so don't get cocky. Enjoy your life, do something every day that makes you laugh, makes you happy. Make a difference, be a Captain Kindness to others & yourself, & don't waste time with negative feelings, as that will crowd out what you truly can achieve. I'm cheering for you. Love you all to pieces, always & forever. We may not have tomorrow, but we had yesterday. Memories are forever, so if you are missing someone, just close your eyes, think of them (or me) & they'll (I'll) be there. If you can, please donate to the ALS Assoc., CT. Chapter, 4 Oxford Rd., Unit D4, Milford, Ct., 06460, or please visit, http://web.alsa.org/site/TR?pg=team&fr_id=10118&team_id=283193 to help find a treatment & cure for Lou Gehrig's disease. That's the bugger that tripped me up. Before you get tripped up, live it up! Peggy's family will receive relatives and friends from 1-3 p.m. Saturday July 19th, 2014 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, followed by a Service of Remembrance at 3:00 p.m. To leave online messages of sympathy and for directions, please visit www.Leetestevens.com
