Francis P. Sheridan Obituary


Francis P. Sheridan, 61, of East Hartford, unexpected passed into the arms of our Lord on Friday, July 11, 2014 following complications from major surgery. Born in Hartford on July 6, 1953, a son of the late Francis M. and Margaret (Ginnane) Sheridan, he had been a life-long resident of East Hartford. After graduating from East Hartford High School in 1971, Frank served in the United States Air Force for four years during the Vietnam War. He most recently worked at Scientific Games repairing lottery machines for the State of Connecticut. Along with the love of his life and best friend, Kimberly Mangan of East Hartford with whom he resided, Fran will be dearly missed by his sister and six brothers, nieces and nephews. His sister, Ruth Lytwyn and her husband, Larry of Monson, MA and their children, Larry and Timmy; brothers, Fr. Brian Sheridan of Smyrna, GA, Kevin Sheridan and his wife, Maureen of South Windsor and their daughters, Mary and Jennifer, Daniel Sheridan and his wife, Bonnie of South Windsor and children, Cameron and Maggie Schwind, James Sheridan of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Dennis Sheridan and his wife, Deborah of East Hartford and their daughter, Elizabeth, John Sheridan and his partner, Joseph Felicissimo of Somers, NY; and many dear cousins, extended family and friends. Besides his parents Frank was recently predeceased by his brother, Joseph Sheridan of East Hartford. Funeral services will be Thursday (July 17th) with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 am at St, Isaac Jogues Church, One Community Street, East Hartford with his brother, Fr. Brian Sheridan M.S. officiating. (Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church on Thursday morning). Burial with military honors will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Relatives and friends may call at the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford on Wednesday (July 16th) from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Frank's name may be made to the LaSalette Missions, 4650 South Broadway, St. Louis, MO 63111-1398.
