Mary Cecilia Weaver Obituary


Mary Cecilia (Lynch) Weaver, 89, of Simsbury and formerly of Avon, passed away surrounded by her children Saturday, July 19, 2014. Born in San Francisco, CA daughter of the late Edward and Cecilia (Conway) Lynch. Her mother died shortly after her birth and she was raised in St. Paul, MN by her loving grandparents James and Catherine (Moriarty) Conway and aunt Julia Conway. She had worked at Dayton's Department Store in St. Paul, MN as a bridal consultant and after raising her children, owned her own bridal consulting business in Avon under the name, "Beautiful Weddings". Her work was featured in an article in "Brides Magazine" in 1983. Mary lived in the Farmington Valley for over 50 years where she enjoyed volunteer work, friendships at the Golf Club of Avon, and trips to Stonington and Watch Hill with her family. In her later years, she kept her sense of humor and enjoyed her grandchildren and outings with friends and family. She was predeceased by her former husband Ronald Weaver to whom she was married for 35 years. She leaves her son Michael Weaver and his wife Leigh and their daughters Abby and Tory of New Hartford; daughters Elizabeth Mary Weaver and her husband Patrick Diaz of Wellesley, MA and Kathleen Lawliss and her husband Timothy of Peru, NY; and her beloved grandchildren Jackson and Sam Weaver, Katie and Molly Lawliss, and Patrick, Julia, and Clare Diaz. The family wishes to thank Mary's friends at Tunxis Village and Virginia Connolly and her caregivers. Friends are invited to celebrate Mary's Life on Saturday, August 2, 2014, at 2:30 PM at the Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center, 301 Country Club Road, Avon.
