Soon after graduation Bill was called to serve with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. After the war he returned home where he married Jean in 1953. He then continued his education at the University of Connecticut in a post-graduate program. Bill worked for the State of Connecticut and then for a subsidiary of IBM called the Service Bureau, before taking a position with A.H. He also spent many years working at Duncaster in Bloomfield in the transportation department. He also assisted the residents with accounting and tax preparation. Bill was a devout member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Tariffville. Always willing to lend his business expertise, Bill served as the treasurer of Trinity Episcopal Church, the Anglican Fellowship of Prayer, and for the Mills Landing Condo Association. He was also an avid square dancer for many with the Bloomfield Square Dance Club. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Kathy Parker and her husband Gerald of Windsor, and Karen Williams and her husband Robert of West Hartford; three sons, Keith Kendall and his wife Donna of Trumbull, Kevin Kendall and his wife Jennifer of Old Lyme, and Kurt Kendall of Hooksett, NH; two sisters-in-law, Noella Kendall and Marge Kendall both of Bristol; 11 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
