Jean Rosalie (Kulmacz) Buzanoski of Plainville, passed away on August 3, 2014 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford after a brief illness with her family by her side. Born in New Britain, she attended Sacred Heart School and New Britain High School. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 71 years, Edmund L. Buzanoski, Sr. She is survived by two sons: Edmund L. Buzanoski, Jr. and his wife, Ellen of Boynton Beach, FL and V. William Buzanoski and his companion, Karen Sanford of Plainville; two granddaughters: Jennifer Pehmoeller and her husband, Frazer of Poughquag, NY, Jody Klenk and her husband, Peter of Chelmsford, MA; two great-granddaughters: Lindsay Pehmoeller of Alexandria, VA and Alyssa Pehmoeller of Philadelphia, PA. Jean retired from Family Services of New Britain. She was a lifelong parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, New Britain and a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church, Plainville. Jean was a member and past officer of many other clubs and organizations including: St. Paul Catholic Church Knights of Columbus Ladies Council 3675, Sacred Heart Parish Council and the Ladies' Guilds of both Sacred Heart Church and OLM Church. Jean's dedication to helping others was evident in her 25 years of volunteering at the Monsignor Bojnowski Manor and 36 years at the Plainville Senior Center. She will be forever missed by her family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St., New Britain on Tuesday, August 12 at 9:30 am. She will then be laid to rest beside Ed, her cherished husband in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, August 11 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain.
